Joe S. Carr completed his first term as state representative of the 48th District in the 106th Tennessee General Assembly. Like most of Joe’s accomplishments, his election to serve the people in his District illustrates his commitment to hard work and faith in God. Joe grew up in a Christian family where hard work, devotion to family, and charity to those less fortunate was emphasized. Joe’s parents taught him the value of hard work at a very early age. The foundation of this “hard work” ethic that characterizes Joe’s accomplishments is a belief in a strong education. Joe built his educational foundation by graduating from Riverdale High School and later receiving a B.S. degree from MTSU. In addition, Joe has 60+ graduate hours of work from MTSU.
